The Arctic Winter is here
The beautiful and relaxing arctic winter has brought us beautiful northern lights experiences, many nice snowshoeing trips, Reindeer sledding and snowmobile safaris to the mountain plateau. We had a lot of snow in Reisa valley and very nice conditions for outdoor activities. We are now in the winter-fall season in the Sami calendar, the temperatures are more comfortable and the sun is again shining for us. In January we don´t have many hours natural light, but that is perfect for aurora borealis lovers. The Arctic winter is perfect for families with children, it´s a perfect way to give the children healthy childhood memories and Reindeer sledding is one of the most exciting activities available. The Troms region is often about action and sports, but it´s the perfect place for relaxing in beautiful nature. Here you can experience the sea, the high mountains, the mighty valleys, rich wildlife, mountain plateau and much more. Nordreisa in Northern Troms is a Sami city and has nice hotels, motels, campings and fishing camps. Our favorites are Skjervøy Fiskecamp and Lyngen Havfiske in Nord Lenangen, both are professional fishing camps.

The winter is soon over and we are preparing for the fishing season. We are looking forward to salmon fishing at Reisa and Kvænangen river, deep sea halibut fishing and arctic char fishing on the mountain plateau. Fishermen from all over the world are preparing their vacation to the Troms region this summer, fishing is one of the most wanted activities in this region. Even if it is difficult to find fishing licenses for salmon rivers, we have some cards for our guests. Guests in Nordreisa can also visit our reindeer park at summer time, feeding the reindeers, eating sami food, learning about the Sami people and participating in activities we have available for our guests. It´s a fine experience for families with children, our reindeers have had children with them last three years and they are very friendly to people.
Fishing in Troms is available in Kingfisher Sport and Kingfisher XL package, both are custom made packages that are well suited for groups up to 12 people.
