Reindeer hiking
Hiking with reindeers is a great hiking experience, because we´ll have the reindeers carry your equipment. You can walk longer and experience more in one day, this makes hiking fun. This is the summer version of the famous Reindeer sledding activity.
One day Reindeer hiking
We will start hiking with reindeers into the arctic mountain, we´ll walk to the arctic mountain plateau for fishing Arctic char. The reindeer will carry our equipment, so it will be easy to walk. This actually require some training, but most people can handle it easily. The fishing trip will take about 8 hours, it will be full daylight the whole day. Hiking with reindeer is easy and fun, you get where you are going faster.
Four days reindeer hiking
In four days we explore the fishing in Arctic, we will visit lakes where we have caught Arctic char up to 3kg. We know there has been caught much bigger fish by others. We will visit three very good lakes and all the way we have the reindeers carry our equipment like tents, fishing gear, food etc. The four days trip will be organized like this:·
Day one: Reindeer hiking into the first lake, where we set the tents and we will be fishing the whole evening.
Day two: Reindeer hiking to the second and bigger lake, where we stay for the night and we will be fishing the whole evening.
Day three: Reindeer hiking to the third lake (it takes 30 minutes), where we will be fishing the whole day and at the evening we walk to the first lake again.
Day four: Hiking with reindeer home again, we take a shower and some will have a flight home.
The participators will take their own food and drinks, but we will have coffee, cookies, dinners and some drinks that we serve daily. This trip also require some training, even if we don´t carry any weight by ourself.
