Vacation activities

Our activities are suited for all ages and all fitness levels. We offer our activities in seasons and we have short season activities based on Sami 8. seasons. The activities are well suited for families with children, senior groups and also individual travellers looking for exciting activities while they are in Norway. 

You can visit us at summer when most people visit Norway, but the winter is fantastic and the activities are even more relaxing. A weekend in Norway with families is a very good way to recharge your batteries and a perfect escape from boring and hectic everyday life. You deserve an adventure that is good for the whole family. 

Winter activities

1. One day Reindeer sledding in the woods of Reisa valley. This gives you the opportunity to master the reindeer and ride with the wind. The reindeers are pre-trained and you will have short training on how to handle the reindeer. 

2. Four days reindeer taming. We will spend four days training a reindeer for sledding, you will learn the art of reindeer training for competent Sami reindeer herder. 

3. One day Snowmobile safari to the mountain camp. We go into the arctic mountain where we have a camp, we fish on the ice and eat good food in the camp. 

4. Four day Snowmobile safari to Levi of Finland. We start our trip from Reisa valley over the arctic mountain plateau to Levi of Finland, the trip takes 4 full days. 

Summer activities

1. One day Reindeer hiking and fresh water lake fishing, a true adventure in the Arctic nature. We go to the mountains fishing for Arctic char. Since we have 24 hours light at summer time, we are not in a hurry. 

2. Four days Reindeer hiking and fresh water lake fishing, an expedition where we try 3 different fresh water lakes. We have previously caught 3kg Arctic char from these lakes. 

3. One day salmon fishing at Reisa river. It is difficult to get fishing license on the river though, so this requires early booking. 

4. One day deep sea fishing for halibut, cod and coal fish. 

8. seasons activities

1. In may we have reindeer herding while the female reindeers give births. This is one of a kind activity in Norway, we are not familiar with others who can offer this breath taking experience. 

2. In August we mark reindeer calphs, you can be with us while we have thousand reindeers in a fence and we mark hundres or reindeers.

3. Reindeer herding in autumn, while the reindeers are at autumn place and the males are pairing with the females.

4. Reindeer migrating to the summer district where they start giving births.
