Sami Film management

Sami Travel Guides manages and organize filming in North Norway for production companies with need for guiding, locations and accessories. 

Location management

We have a location with reindeers, Sami tents, lassoing and other associated Sami culture. Locations can also be set up at the desired site, such as on mountains or other places that have such a nature as the production company wants. We can also make location on the plateau, if desired. What ever need, we can arrange it.

Accessories 

We have accessories that can be used during filming and if production companies have special requirements we can get it for the filming period. Examples of accessories:
- Sami costumes and accessories.
- Lavvos (Sami tents) of various sizes.
- Huts in different sizes.
- Lasso and equipment for lassoing
- Shaman drums
- Bivouac
- And much more.
Reindeer park have all necessary equipment for making film. Reindeer Park is approx. 20 acres in size, so there is plenty of space for film production. The number of reindeers in the nordreisa reindeer park varies from 5 to 100.

Transfer

In winter time we use snowmobiles to transport the production crew and film equipment. We have enough snowmobiles to transport groups from 1 to 75 persons. In summer time we use other types of vehicles, depending on the recording and where the location is. We also arrange transportation of the production crew from Tromsø Airport or elsewhere, with buses that can accommodate 45 people.

Sami staff

We can arrange major tasks with large Sami film management crew. We have Sami participants from ages 4 to 85 years for filming purpose. Most of them have previously participated in film production, but it is the olders person in our crew that has the most experience in film. Our crew can make everything ready before the production crew arrive, it will eliminate delays and make the production work smooth. Our Sami staff can also participate while filming, both in practical tasks and in front of the camera.

Activities

We can arrange all our activities like Reindeer sledding, Reindeer hiking, Snowmobile safari, snowshoeing animal tracking, fishing and many more for filming purpose.
