Reindeer sledding in 2012
In 2012 our reindeer sledding package is specially made you who want more of reindeer knowledge and the winter Troms – you will learn to master the reindeers and the arctic climate.
Earlier reindeer sledding has been an adventure where you participate in the activity by sitting on a reindeer sled and relax, which is a fantastic way of experiencing the Arctic of Norway. You wouldn´t have to lift a finger or think about anything in this soft adventure.
In 2012 you will experience reindeer sledding in a whole new way. We have put a lot of action and knowledge in the package, you will learn how the Samis capture the reindeer, how they put it in front of the sled; how we ride it and then you will try to do it yourself.
The difference in our one-day experience and four day experience is the amount of time used to learn the different parts of reindeer sledding. In the one-day adventure your will learn everything in one day and in the four day adventure you will use a whole day in each part of the knowledge. What the packages include is:
- How to master the lasso throwing
- How to capture a reindeer
- How to tame the reindeer and calm it down
- How to put the reindeer in front of a sled
- How to ride the reindeer
- How to yoik the Sami traditional song
And you will also learn how to relax as the Samis do.
